Happpppy Happppppy New Year!!!! We are sooo excited that 2012 is right around the corner and can't wait to dance in the New Year! We have had a really fabulous year and wanted to thank you for all of your love and amazing comments! We have done some really fun collaborations this year with Olsenboye, JC Penney, Holt Renfrew, DVF, Juicy Couture, Nine West, Carole Tanenbaum, CALLA, Larissa Hadjio, Ray-Ban, H&M and Bulgari. We also hosted a fabulous party with The Society, and went on Flea Market roadtrips to Bouckville, the Rosebowl and Brimfield. We had the best time with Kelly Wearstler, and Jenna Lyons, partied it up with the Proenza Schouler boys, and met fashionista Anna Dello Russo. We also collaborated with Polyvore to do a Holiday Gift Guide. We were illustrated by the talented Jessica Joose and Meg McCarthy who did a cool illustration video of us and we were in Lula Mag. Thanks for all your lovin' and we can't wait for next year! Wishing you all lots of happiness for 2012!!! mwah!

The Look: Versace for H&M + Surf

Fun Fact: I was sooooo excited for the Versace for H&M collection to come out! I went to the Beverly Center in L.A sooo early (in my P.J's) and waited in line for hours! I screamed when I got my hands on this heart fringe dress. It was totally worth the wait and the sleep deprivation! Hahaha! I love how surf inspired it is and how it's totally 80's Versace styles!

We were sooooo excited when our girls Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen asked us to design their holiday card for Olsenboye! They are the coolest and their style is off the freakin' chain! We were chosen along with two other bloggers, Paper Fashion and My Closet in Sketches to design their holiday card based on their Holiday 2011 collection, which was inspired by Russia. We sketched our little hearts out and knew right away that we wanted to incorporate Matryoshka/Nesting dolls in our card because we love vintage dolls! So we designed our own Matryoshka dolls along with some dancing and jumping fashion girls having fun and wearing the Olsenboye Holiday collection. We started off by drawing each fashion girl and Matryoshka doll in a really large scale so that we could get all of the details in. Then, we did a black line drawing of all of them together in a first draft to make sure the perspective was right. We shrunk all of them together and colored them in. Fun Fact: When I got the June 2011 Russh Magazine with Aline Weber on the cover, I was totally obsessed with the amethyst necklace on the cover ! So, I immediately contacted the designer, Amanda from Assad Mounser to get it. She was of course the sweetest most awesome person ever and we fell in love with every one of her pieces. She is a NY designer and everything she makes is handmade, totally original and full on rock n'roll. It arrived a few days ago and I couldn't be any happier. CALLA- Spring 2012

The CALLA Spring 2012 runway show was off the charts amazing and Calla flew in from Paris to present during Toronto fashion week. It was hosted by "the shOws," and styled by the awesome Leith Clark of Lula Magazine. We went backstage to get a sneak peek of her collection before the show. Calla is super talented and we LOVE her to pieces. We also did a collaboration together on her Spring 2011 collection. ( To see it, click here.) So, we were totally amped to see her new collection which was filled with exaggerated volume, neon tweeds and prints galore. It also screamed music festival chic with tie dye prints and acid wash denim. The accessories included John Lennon-esque neon sunnies, sparkly heels and beehive hairdos. It was total flirty-ness mixed with a sense of rockabilly. The colours included shocking pink, lemon yellow, mint green and hints of cyan and coral...OBSESSED! We have also been insta-graming/twittering photos like crazy (thanks to our bestie, The Glamourai for getting us addicted heheheee! Follow us here :)

Topshop arrives in Canada!

Topshop has finally arrived in Toronto!!! And we are happy campers! We went to the opening party and pre-shopped with the amazzzzing red haired Alison Mosshart from our favourite band, The Kills and supermodel Coco Rocha! We also picked up some killer pieces like this oversized rainbow fluffy vest, black sparkle boots, a fuchsia fedora and a spike headband! The store is huge, over 15,000 square feet and there are soooo many fantastic shoes...gulp! Later that night, we headed to the Topshop after party launch where supercool DJ Harley Viera- Newton was spinning the best music and getting everyone amped up for The Kills to perform... and they rocked the house! Jamie Hince jammed like no other, and Alison Mosshart is officially our new girl crush. We had the best time and danced like crazy people into the wee hours! Thanks Topshop for all of the fun---we can't wait to scoop up more goodies (next week!)

The Look: Circus + Prep

Fun Fact: I was really excited when Tretorn sent us these Nylites because my grandmother used to have a pair. They are considered the first luxury sports shoe and were designed in 1967. I remember her wearing them! We used to watch her play tennis and then she would come and sit beside me and check on my knitting and see if I dropped any stitches. Check out the Nylite Prjoect here! Also, how crazy cute is my pin! We started collecting vintage Anca pins but they are really hard to find. She was an artist in the 80's and put together pins made of vintage Bakelite and vintage poker chips and turned them into little creatures.

Kelly's line was filled with hand-drawn brush stroke jackets, feminine dress silhouettes, sweatshirts with scribble embroidery, coral embroidered clutches and crystal jewelry wrapped with leather. All of her pieces are totally obsessive and they had a Parisian feel to them, especially the striped brown jacket (that our Mom is wearing in the picture) that looks like it's made out of paper. The Society Cup Party Pics!

We had an awesome time hosting The Society Cup with the most amazing people and had a whole lotta fun playing vintage lawn games all day. It was the perfect day to soak up some sunshine and dress up! It was sponsored by Hendrick's Gin and we sipped on cucumber concoctions all day while DJ Brendan Fallis played some golden oldies. There were buckets and buckets filled with Heineken and Perrier to cool down after running in the competitive 3 legged pant race! (We totally fell and ate it!) There was also bocce ball, croquet, and badminton games to play. Danielle Hession won the Hendrick's “Most Sartorial Nostalgist" award for best dressed for her Fall Prep attire. The Society Cup 2011: Hosted by The Beckerman Bite Plate

On Sunday September 11th join The Society, Hendrick’s Gin and us for an afternoon of vintage lawn games at The Society’s Second Annual Cup Championships in Toronto! And this year we will be the hosts! We will be playing some good ole fashion lawn sports like Badminton, Croquet, three legged races, and bocci ball! We will also be scoping out some of the afternoon’s best ensembles (a Hendrick's Gin pickle trophy is up for grabs, may the best man or woman win!) The theme is Fall prep! So get all dressed up because everyone will be! Think: plaids, Sherlock Holmes, trench coats, top hats, bow ties, riding, Varsity Blues, very out-doorsy with a twist of funk and punk!

It will be held at the beautiful collegiate courtyard of U of T’s Hart House. In between matches, players and spectators will sip on Hendrick’s Gin, Heineken and Perrier to cool off in-between the crazy fun competitions! We made a video below on how to make a Hendricks Gin Meadow Muse..YUM! As well as a fashion Storyboard to get you inspired on what to wear to the event. We are really excited to host and to see you there for INSANE FUN!

Fun Fact: Essie just sent us all of their new Fall and Winter nail colors and we are obsessed! I just couldn't wait for winter, so I am wearing the color "Size Matters" and it's the perfect red. It looks kinda vampire-esque and mysterious and it goes perfect with my vintage Westwood dress. It's not in stores yet, so keep your eyes out for it! Our friend Katie owns Nomad Vintage and she has the BEST vintage ever! You can visit her in the Chelsea Garage on the weekend or by appointment... she is the coolest! I couldn't get over this Vivienne Westwood dress when I saw it. It reminded me of her Union Jack flag carpet she designed for the Rug Company. It's a parachute type dress with strips of blue cotton canvas sewn to the Union Jack flag. I think it's from the early 90's or late 80's and it even has fake white printed paint on it!

Roadtrip to Bouckville!

We went on a weekend adventure/road trip to Upstate New York to the coolest flea market called The Madison Bouckville Show! It was one of the hottest days of the summer at a sweltering 40 degrees Celsius (aka 104 degrees Fahrenheit!!!!) and there were thousands and thousands of flea market vendors! We didn't expect the flea market to be so big, packed with vendors and with so many treasures. It was really fabulous because they put up these huge striped carnival tents for shade. Danielle, our amazing friend came on the trip and we had a blast walking around for hours and hours finding the coolest things! We totally fell in love with the 100 year old grain sacks (that we turned into pillows for the bed), Navajo jewelry, got an old tin knight and a few quirky hats. Bouckville, New York is one of the most beautiful flea markets around. The scenery is crazy beautiful with the most perfect rolling hills and cornfields. It was a fabulous road trip and Bouckville's name is now turned to "BECKY-ville" because we were in TOTAL flea market heaven and will be back next year!

J.Crew comes to Canada!!!

J.Crew is finally in Toronto!!!!! Hallelujah!! And it's in our favourite mall...Yorkdale! We are such mall rats! No more ordering from catalogues or trying to figure out which one of your friends lives in the States who can bring it home for you! All of of our problems are now solved! Hahaha! We had a fabulous time at the J.Crew opening party and had the BEST time meeting the gorgeous and totally amazing creative director Jenna Lyons! We had sooo much fun together!

H&M and Vitamin Daily Style Contest!- Vote for us :)

We teamed up with H&M and Vitamin Daily to style a mannequin at H&M in our most favourite pieces from their Fall 2011 Collection! We had the best time styling our mannequin head to toe in a back to school look mixed with grungey plaids and the Upper East side. We layered a dress with striped long sleeves, a vest and a jacket to complete a total Fall look. We also love mixing different color plaids together to create a Rock Royalty look. We used an oversized plaid vest to complete the look with grey thigh highs and that awesome bowler hat. (That we both ended up bringing home!) We also gave our mannequin some hand drawn red lips! Hahaha!!! So she is super kissable! Orange is soo in for Fall, so we threw H&M's 1960's inspired coat over her shoulders, used orange bow bracelets and put an orange tassel necklace on her bag as her bag charm.

Rosebowl Flea Market

In LA, we were soo excited to find out that the Rosebowl flea market fell on the weekend that we were there!! But the only time we could go there was 5:30am in the morning! Because it was our last day in L.A and we had soo many things planned already! We are totally not morning people, but for a flea market it's our mission to be morning people! Hahaha! The Rosebowl is soooo amazing because the clothing is always so killer and they always have the best denim! Disneyland Birthday!!!

We went to Disneyland in California to celebrate our Birthday!!! And it's definitely our "happiest place on earth!" Dragonette Jammin' at H&M!

We met up with our friend Danielle and we all went to dance our lil' pants off at a private party at H&M where Dragonette rocked the whole store. We LOVE HER! It was a totally hot Pre-MMVA (Much Music Video Adwards) party that H&M hosted! The outdoor stages of the MMVA's were totally amazzzzing too and Gaga, Drake and Snoop all came to Toronto last night to perform! Here are some of our favourite Dragonette songs below :)

And there's something about pom poms that always make me happy! I think it's because if you put two googly-eyes on them...they instantly become little monsters!

Jack and Lazaro from Proenza Schouler came to "The Room" at the Bay in Toronto to launch their Spring 2011 Collection and it was a crazy fun party! The three of us inlcluding our Mom all wore Proenza! They are our favourite designers, and they are the sweetest, most down to earth, awesome guys! Their collections are always sooo obsessive and total surfer chic and every season they make us go GaGa Goo Goo!!! Loads of bright knits and neons! They also brought their Fall 2011 Collection for a preview and we made our wish list. We hung out with our cute 'rents and a bunch of our super fun friends inlcuding: Tommy Ton from Jak and Jil and amazing designer Jeremy Laing and had a blast! It was a RAD night!

We love the color and all the studs! and think its' the perfect bag to tote around for summer! Also, I saw three people wearing this nail polish color last week, and had to go to 5 different nail salons and still couldn't find it. Thank goodness our friend Daniela hunted it down for us. It's called Mint Candy Apple by Essie and it's almost a neon turquoise...LOVE IT! P.S. Cubby Bear just got his teddy bear haircut and is already making lots of doggy girlfriends.. haha!

They are incredibly light weight and they are sold with interchangable lenses so you can change the lense depending on your outfit! And the lenses are bicolor and polarized and perfect for driving or at the beach! We will have more pics up next week! Fun Fact: We stopped in Boston on our way home from Brimfield, MA to drop Chloe off at the airport and grabbed lunch at one of Boston's most awesome malls, called The Prudential Center (we are mall rats!!!) We stopped in at Saks and freaked out when they had Prada's Fall 2010 eyebrow sunnies! We were told that those glasses never went into production....but here they were!!! I love how they are cat-eyed and give me those big black Bettie Paige eyebrows, I've never had!!!haha
