Day 2- Peter Som was truly a highlight to see! We loved his 60's inspired looks and everything was paired with these leopard Louboutin go go boots/flats that were so hot. He showed lots of leather and feathers and silk flower petal dresses that were to die for.He also did feather peplum's on dresses and coats that were very couture. We were sitting directly across from Carrie Underwood and met her after the show and she was a doll! LOVE HER! We then ran over to DKNY for a fitting. We are wearing all DKNY today (Sunday) for Donna's show! It's DKNY's 25th anniversary! So exciting and we were obsessed with their recent collaboration they did with Opening Ceremony. We then strolled over to Trina Turk. It featured both mens and womens and had a cool girl librarian chic vibe and we had fun meeting Trina and Mr. Turk! We then, headed back to Lincoln Center and went to Rebecca Minkoff. It was such a cool show, loved all the slouchy hats and jackets. She had a really amazing performer Aluna George that was performing while the girls were walking and the music was off the chain hot.
Day 3- We started off at Herve Leger where we saw lots of bondage, body cages and leather jackets with black feather rockin' sleeves. We loved the hair and makeup for the show. It had a sleek ponytail with blue highlights, and a good ol'cat eye. We then headed to Adeam which was beautiful. It was a lot of constructed suit like fitted dresses, and chic jackets with wooden platform heels. Later we headed to Alexandre Herchcovitch over at Milk Studios, which was brilliant. It was a mix of peasant like silhouettes, lace dresses mixed with a downtown aesthetic. We are huge fans of Herchcovitch's work, and even loved the eerie violin music in the background. The best was the hair! It was super fuzzy in the front and slicked in to a tight bun. The Kaelen show was next and we went crazy for her red and pink looks--definitely our favorite. The construction and movement of her red tweed like top and flouncy ruffle skirt out of wool was epic. We are obsessed with all red looks (especially with a red lip) We then went back to Milk Studios and saw our good friend Calla's presentation which was inspired by Dolly Parton and her adorable dog chou chou, Lily Bear. We loooove the whole western theme mixed with a colorful pop vibe. There were Varsity jackets embroidered with her dog Lily bear, Texas flag prints and fringe boots.
