“Some addresses are much more than just a name and number on a map. They speak of countless things and their evocative power transcends toponymy. They indicate not only “where,” but also “when,” “what,” “how,” and “why.” 30, avenue Montaigne is one of those places where numerous stories —with a little s— shed light on the great Human Story.” -Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture
This book is incredible and the images are breathtaking! We haven't been able to put it down!
The first photograph is a rare image taken by Richard Avedon taken in one of the House of Dior's workrooms, for Harpers Bazaar in the summer of 1947. Its fashion history and its such a special book!
