We are sooo in love with Carole Tanenbaum's vintage jewelry collection that when she asked us to do a Halloween post, we were so excited! We saw all of her spooky Halloween-ish jewels like: cats, orange and black Bakelite, crystals, eyeball rings, scarecrows, spiders, aliens, cobwebs, black gems, orange bangles....the list goes on and on. Halloween is our most favourite holiday of all time! Every Halloween, we are the girls who dress up all bloody, disgusting and insane! But for the next two days before that happens, we wanted to do outfit posts celebrating the spirit of Halloween and Carole's stunning jewels!
Carole has over 21,000 pieces in her vintage collection and we go gaga everytime we see new pieces in there! We had so much fun putting on all of the Halloween inspired pins and bracelets and felt like the Queen's of Halloween today!!! Check out her amazing online shop for some unbelievable finds! Click here! Time to go eat some candy!

D.I.Y. Chanel Bag Dog Costume!
We made a D.I.Y (do it yourself) Chanel bag doggy costume! It's the perfect Halloween costume for your fashion pup! And it's going to be auctioned off at the Paws For the Cause event this Thursday night in Toronto. This event is going to be outta control woofin' cute! Paws For the Cause asked us to make a dog sweater and to walk in the runway show with our dog wearing our custom creation which supports the OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.) It is a really great cause! and 100% of the proceeds goes directly to the animals in need. We are total animal lovers, so this was something we just had to do! We thought it would be fun if we made a D.I.Y video which shows us making the dog costume step by step and it also includes our two favourite accessories, Cubby and a Chanel bag all rolled into one! But we wanted to make it look like Cubby and the Chanel bag were one entity! What would Karl think? Haha! He is a walking and barking Chanel bag! Hahah!
To buy tickets or donate for this Thursday October 28th night's event at 8pm at Red Bull 381 Projects located at 381 Queen St. W # 200 click here! We hope to see you there!
P.S Can everyone please vote for Cubby (to win a car) it sounds silly but he knows how to drive! CLICK HERE! Thanks a million!!!!

Her blog is called Style Story board and she takes inspiration from Fashion, Culture, Art, Lifestyle, Music and Design which brings life's stylish inspirations all together on one amazing mood board! We love how she put it together with Christopher Kane's embroidered jacket, red lipstick, Nirvana boots, and that cool gold log candle! I also love how she made my look inspired by Japanese street style. Check out her blog, it rocks! I actually just got this dress and jacket from a fabulous vintage sale last weekend! The dress is from the 1940's and all hand embroidered and this technique is called trapunto. I was sooo completely obsessed, I had to get it! The vintage jacket is from Paris from the 1920's! Teacher's used to wear it so they didn't get chalk all over their clothes when they were teaching! Hahaha! How clever! Pin It Now!

The Alexander McQueen Rug Company Party!
We went to the Alexander McQueen Rug company party which was held at the Avenue Road store to celebrate McQueen's rugs and pillows he designed for The Rug Company. It took him three years to design them with The Rug Company and this is technically McQueen's last collection. The McQueen rugs are sooo special and gorgeous because they are all handmade and made out of the finest wools, cashmere and silk yarns. They are couture rugs!
The gold and black rug (photographed below) with the dragon in the center is called the military brocade print and was a real standout. McQueen also designed a hummingbird print, a skull print and a feather print. We are holding the skull and hummingbird pillows below and are totally obsessed with them! The Rug company has also collaborated with a other designers like Vivienne Westwood, Marni, Alice Temperley, Paul Smith, Matthew Williamson, Diane Von Furstenberg and many more. They are also doing rugs with Giles Deacon that are coming out in the future...YES!! We also loved the Vivienne Westwood British flag pillow and the pillow with the patchwork house on it which was designed by a label called Committee. This is the first Rug party we have ever been to and it was really cool because all of the carpets were laying on top of each other and they had two big guys wearing white gloves grabbing a corner and pulling the rugs back slowly to see the next one underneath. These rugs are sooo gorgeous and like a piece of Art, we could never imagine walking on them with shoes on!
